One Year Later
April 27, 2014, a devastating EF4 tornado tore through town, causing damage, injury and loss of life. One year later, we remember those we have lost, and celebrate the accomplishments we have made. On this anniversary, it is important to remember those who lost their lives. BUT there were more victims of the storm who are still struggling today.
Thanks to an EDA grant, the City of Mayflower is able to move forward much more quickly after the 2014 tornado disaster.
With the help of our neighbors and generous volunteers, we’ll continue to be here as long as there is a need to help in the recovery process. The resilience of Mayflower will allow us to come back stronger with whole town working together.
