Chairman Green-Fornash called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Angela Patterson called roll. Commissioners in attendance for the meeting are Delbert Dawson, Jana Green-Fornash, James Oliver, Angela Patterson, Chad Patterson, Sammy Reynolds, and Ken Tugwell. Curtis Lovell and Cliff Wekkin were absent. We have a quorum.
Approval and/or Changes to Minutes: Commissioner C Patterson made the motion to accept the minutes as printed from the August 11, 2020 regular meeting, and Commissioner Reynolds seconded the motion. The motion passed with all ayes.
The public hearing is to be postponed until Lamar Advertising is able to complete the variance request process.
Public Comments: Randy Holman came to ask questions about getting his property on Interstate Drive rezoned from Commercial to Residential.All utilities are still in place from a previous home on location.
Chief Woods informed him of some immediate concerns that needed to be addressed.
1. A Public Hearing is required to rezone, and Mr. Holman needed to decide between R1-SB and R1-MH before the hearing date is scheduled.
2. Part of the property is in the floodplains and any structure needs to be elevated if there is an I-beam and the HVAC is located underneath.
Mr. Holman was given a Rezoning Packet detailing the requirements.
Announcements: Chairman Green-Fornash announced the next meeting to be October 13th, immediately following a Public Hearing, then asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Oliver made the motion; Commissioner Tugwell seconded the motion. The motion passed with all ayes. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:27 PM.
