Tornado Relief Volunteers are still needed.
Per a story in the Log Cabin Democrat, if you are interested in helping with the long-term relief effort and rebuilding, the Arkansas Dream Center is handing all tornado relief volunteers.
“Drew Davis, Executive Director of the Arkansas Dream Center, said, “We’ve got roughly five or six homes that still have to be demolished, about 13 sites that need chainsaw teams, and an equal number that need tractor teams to move material from way back on the lot to the front so it can be picked up. At least 15 to 16 sites just need debris picked up.””
If you haven’t volunteered yet, and would like to, there are plenty of tasks and jobs that still need to be completed. Overall, recovery and rebuilding could take many months. On the ARDC website, there are links to learn more about rebuilding homes, donating materials or funds, or providing meals for other volunteers and needy.
